Forget None of His Benefits

Psalm 103:2 says: “forget none of His benefits.” Forgetting is one of our biggest spiritual problems. Israel was constantly cited for forgetting God, forgetting His blessings, etc. We do the same thing, of course.

We forget His presence, forget what He has told us in His word, forget His blessings and the good things He has done for us; forget the spiritual emphases He has taught us; forget our standing/hope/power — and on and on. This must be one of the foremost causes of discouragement and depression in God’s people: we forget His benefits. Instead we focus on what we do NOT have, or on some problem instead. We need to tell our souls, like David did his own in Psalm 103: “forget none of His benefits”!
