You Yourself Have Taught Me

Psalm 119:102 says: “I have not turned aside from Your ordinances, for You Yourself have taught me.” The Psalmist saw God’s word as personal instruction from God Himself. You can sense, in his expression, “You Yourself have taught me,” what a privilege he considered this to be! We should too.

We should consider the ability to hear every day from God Himself in His word as our greatest privilege. And this verse reminds us that it is in His word that we should look for that intimate, personal instruction. Too many try to substitute other books or sources or subjective “experiences” for the firm foundation of His word. It is of the instruction of His WORD that we can say: “You Yourself have taught me”! Be sure that you do not neglect this amazing personal privilege today!
