Finding His Path

In Psalm 25:4 David prayed: “make me know Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths.” Many of us might echo his prayer. But how will this happen? Look later in the Psalm:

Verse 9 says: “He leads the humble (literally the “afflicted”) in justice, and He teaches the humble (“afflicted”) His way.” So God uses humility – and specifically the humility that often comes from AFFLICTION — to teach us His way!

Then Verse 10 says: “All the paths of the Lord are lovingkindness and truth to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.” We see here that “keeping His covenant and His testimonies” is a key to finding His paths. We must also be OBEDIENT to God in order to find His direction. You may SAY that you want to know God’s path, but by your obedience you show how much you REALLY want to know it! If you are being blatantly disobedient to God in some area of your life, you are saying you really do not care much about knowing His ways.

But if you are consistently purifying yourself to obey Him, it shows that you are indeed serious about following His way. Be humble, learning from your circumstances, and be obedient — and you can be confident that you will find the path God has for you.

I ran into your post because I was diagnosed with POTS, recently. I also got me and my kids out of a bad situation. I had to humble myself and ask my ex-husband to get the kids out ASAP. His parents didn’t stop there. They got all of us out and our stuff. I have never been more “humbled.” The problems I thought I had before with my ex-husband, seem small in comparison than what we went thru with my bf.

    Thank you for your blog!
