Grace to You — and Others

In Colossians 1:2 Paul greets his readers with “Grace to you and peace.” It is significant that it is GRACE that Paul prays for his readers. GRACE is the keynote of the Christian message. Think about it: he does not pray “justice” to you — how condemning and discouraging that would be!

And if grace is what comes to us from God the Father through Jesus Christ, then how much more should we offer that same grace to everyone whom He brings across our path. And yet so often we find ourselves in the contradictory place of wanting grace for ourselves — but justice and “what they deserve” for others! Upon prayerful and mature consideration, should we not offer others the same grace that God has lavished upon us? Let it be “grace” from God to you — and that same grace from you to others as well!
