Take Courage

In Mark 10, Blind Bartimaeus had been crying out, “Son of David, have mercy on me.” But no one thought there was a chance that Jesus would respond to him; they all told him to be quiet. But in :49 Jesus told them to call Bartimaeus to Him. The crowd told the blind man, “Take courage” because Jesus did indeed respond to his cry for help.

Jesus never turns down a sincere cry for help. If you are truly calling out to Him, you can take courage. He will respond to you! No sinner who ever cried, “Lord have mercy” is ever turned away. Jesus said, “The one who comes to Me, I will by no means cast out.” Romans says: “Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” James says: “If any man lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to ALL men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” Throughout scripture we see that God welcomes and answers those who turn to Him with a sincere and humble heart. Because Jesus made the way to God for us through His death on the cross, you can call out to Him with full confidence of His acceptance.

As you sincerely call out to the Lord today, He will welcome your prayer. “Take Courage”!
