A Prayer For Us Double-Minded

Psalm 86:11 contains a great prayer for the many of us who would cry, “I believe, help my unbelief”: “Unite my heart to fear Your name.”
The truth is that for many of us, our best moments notwithstanding, our hearts are often divided:

— Part of our heart trusts God, and yet part does not.
— Part of us fears God, and yet there is still a part that fears men.
— Part wants to do His will, but part still desperately believes that we know better.
This good prayer is that God would UNITE our heart in faith and obedience to Him; that we would be ALL IN; united in fearing HIM more than anyone or anything else, and to wholly want to do His will. Let us pray with this scripture: “Unite my heart to fear Your name.”
