In II Timothy 1:16, the Apostle Paul wrote that Onesiphorus “was not ashamed of my chains.” Onesiphorus was a true friend and minister — he was not ashamed of Paul’s situation, but loved and cared for him just the same.
We want these kinds of friends to minister to us, of course – and thus we should determine to BE this kind of friend and minister to others: whether they are rich or poor, in good circumstances or ill. Do not be embarrassed to minister to anyone, no matter what their situation is. You are not going to be “contaminated” by them – but even if you are, you will be pleasing to God as you follow in the steps of Christ, who was not ashamed to humble himself to come to earth and minister to us as our greatest Friend!
Thankful that He humbled himself and bestowed upon us His grace – Nice post Blessings Darrell
