Sometimes we make things too complex; looking way off into the future, worrying about “what if” and “which way”, when many times those decisions don’t really need to made today. What we really need to focus on this day is very simple:
Psalm 37:3 says: “Trust in the Lord and do good.” Many of the things that worry us don’t need to be our focus today. This verse reminds us that TODAY, all we need to do is 1) trust God, and 2) do good.
“Trust in the Lord” — don’t look too far down the road; things may change before you get there — and probably will. Trust God with what will happen tomorrow. Today, you just need to “do (the) good” which God has set before you, whatever that is: ministering, working, serving, taking some small step in the direction He is leading you. Don’t make things too complicated. Just ask God what you are supposed to do TODAY, and do that with all your heart. “Trust in the Lord and do good”!
