In Job 13:9 the oppressed saint asks his fickle friends a question: “Will it be well when He examines you?” That is a question that should search the hearts of us all.
“Will it be well when He examines you?” Job knows that his friends seem to have the upper hand right now, and they seem confident in their opinions. But he also knows that that is not what is ultimately important. It is what God thinks of them that really counts.
The same thing is true for us. “Will it be well when He examines you?” is a question each of us should ask ourselves.
It doesn’t matter what YOU feel about it.
It doesn’t ultimately matter what OTHERS think about it — how well-received or popular you are.
All that matters in the end is how it will be when HE examines you!
How might that fact change something you would say or do today?
